Daughertys Do Disneyland- PART ONE

It was finally time............

Every two years, we make the jaunt to another time zone to enjoy the fruits of our labors at the Happiest Place on Earth.

Just kidding- we all know how the Riz feels about Disneyland!

Sunday afternoon, we packed our bags, dropped off the dogs and fishes and headed out west! We got into our room with our gazillions of bags (all mine), watched the fireworks off the balcony and tried to get some sleep.

Let's see...did anything funny happen in the car or at the hotel.............just the fact that we played Disney music the whole drive (much to B's chagrin) and sang very loudly.

Anyways, y'all are here for the pictures, so ENJOY!!!!

Oh the joy on B-Rizzle's face! Mouse ears ready to go as we walk across the street into.....

...the Happiest Place on Earth with millions of other people who want to get in just as badly as I do!

Per tradition, first ride on the first day is none other than my absolute FAV!!!!!!!! The girls were excited to enter into the world of pirate awesomeness...

...well, except for Sam, who has been dreading this day all month. She, um, doesn't really like fast rides....and we, being horrible parents, told her she had to ride every ride that we did since everyone was FINALLY tall enough to ride everything. Her reactions just made us have more fun.

Come on! Look at that face! She is amped and ready to go! AAARRRGH!

But seriously....the rides....poor Sam. We seriously died laughing after the NEXT ride.....

Splash Mountain, baby!!!! Oh, I don't think Sam is very happy....

Nope. Not very happy at all.

REALLY not happy.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I'm sorry, but this was so worth it! #makingmemories

Wet, happy and ready to ride something Sam won't cry on. So we were off to Winnie the Pooh!!

Of course, this would be the face Sammie makes when we are in line for Indiana Jones. Funny short story: I had to sit in the row before B & the girls, so I was cracking up hearing Sam & Scarlet alternately shrieking! Scarlet was right behind me and we were on the right, so if you've ridden it, you know that the HUGE snake is on the right side. After that part, Scarlet hid her face in B's lap for the rest of the ride. So hilarious!

Mickey was blowing kisses at us. I think I was more excited than the girls.

Ready to ride the teacups!

We went SUPER FAST and loved every second of it. Btdubs, this is Scarlet's fake smile because she was not happy that I asked her to stop doing...something. Who knows? She perked up after the ride was over.

We stopped in to see Mickey and the Magical Map. Again, I think I was more excited than the girls. I almost cried a few times.

We ran into one of my fav villains, Dr. Facilier (from the Princess and the Frog) on our way to Tom Sawyer's Island.

Sam wanted to know how his "friends on the other side" were doing....but I had to ask, of course.

The kind voodoo man LOVED my hair. "You know, purple is the color of royalty." I knew he was one of my favs for a reason!

My girls...I love them so much!

The Riz doing what he does best, which is acting like he's all that. Like his shirt? So did everyone else! Funny short story: B isn't really the one who loves attention between the two of us, but wearing this shirt, he had EVERYONE talking to him, laughing, pointing him out....I loved every second of it!

Keeping it classy.

Always causing trouble, these four.

Nevermind, it's just B!

Me & the Riz.

Ready to go off on more adventures...

...pirate adventures!

Chillin' on It's A Small World.

Pretzel break.

Toon Town shenanigans!!!

Quite a few of these girls were not too excited to ride Space Mountain: GHOST GALAXY!!! It was epic and there were lots of tears!

But we remedied the tears with some Buzz Lightyear: Astro Blasters!

One happy family...until the Matterhorn, aka "Snow Mountain". Funny short story: Scarlet kept claiming that the yeti was her friend and that he was nice. After the ride, she said that maybe he didn't remember her right away, but he does now. Ummm......

And of course, we all got wet.

Not too happy about waiting in line for the rockets, but no way am I EVER going on those again. TOOOO HIGH.

Away they go!

Posing like road raging maniacs!

Carousel time!

Totes loved it.

With balloons, you never know how the picture is going to turn out!

A beautiful sight and a beautiful night.

Off to sleep for an early morning! Day one, SUCCESS!
