Road Trippin: Little Rock Houses and The End

WE. ARE. HOME.

The girls about attacked Bryce when we got out of the van. We ALL were happy to see him. The drive home was long, arduous (think crabby 7 year-old) and I got stuck behind a very SLOW driver in Zion.

But, it wasn't the worst road trip I've had. We actually took it nice and slow; we even stopped a few times and got out to walk around.

First, we said our good-byes:

Cinnamon!!

I think good-byes are always the hardest. Sweet Sammie cried the whole way to the gas station.

Then, we headed out on the road, but not before some coffee and nostalgia:

MESA RABBITS, WE ARE NUMBER ONE!

After we got on the 89A and passed Lee's Ferry, we stopped at Cliff Dwellers. It was actually really cool to look at. The sandstone boulders slowly wore away and left holes and hollow spots that people back in the 30's would find shelter in from the night and its elements. And these boulders were HUGE!

We also stopped at Jacob Lake to get gas, use the restroom and enjoy the 79 degree weather.

Piper's shot of a "chickmunk".

Can't forget about Steering Wheel Shots:

This was my rear view as we were exiting Zion National Park (less than an hour from home):

OUT

OUT

WIDE AWAKE

Tomorrow, I will relax, unpack and get ready for the weekend. Lots of stuff going on, but I'm HOME! A big thanks to Grandma for housing us at the cabin (and for the Hooked On Classics album), to Mom for housing us, feeding us, driving around with us and for the many awesome things at Tombstone, to Court for staying late, coming over early and hanging out, to Chels for taking time out of her study schedule to hang out (hope you passed your test) and to Uncle Bryan for watching my girls.

I'M HOOOOOOOOOME!
