Beach, Brats & ELMO

Well, maybe not in that order, but it sounded funny to me.

Ah, vacation.....eventually it starts to wind down. Hence, the end of our San Diego vacation. We had such a wonderful and relaxing time. Many HUGE thanks to Sue & Cliff (the best in-laws in the world) for housing us, feeding us, wining/dining us and helping out with the girls.

Now, onto the good stuff:

Friday found us at the beach. And not just any beach, but Mission Beach, my old stomping grounds. In fact, here is a picture of the very first place that I ate at the first time I went to Mission Beach after I moved to SoCal.

Ah, Belmont Park.

Coffee with a view.

This little girl, Beulah, came over to play.
She was so kind with the girls.

The beginning of the end....

All wet and sandy; just the way Pip rolls.

Daddy LOVES the beach.

We decided to top off the afternoon with another dose of Sea World. (Um, we spent a good hour waiting in lines at the Sesame Street Playplace....getting warmed up for Disneyland, I guess.)

Oh how different the girls are from one another.

It's business time.

Look at the joy on Sam's face!

Yay for Elmo & Ernie!

Flying fish fun!

All hands up...except for Mama.

Oh Sam....what a nut.

Until next year, Sea World.

We finished up the day with some delicious Greek food....I know where I'm eating the next time Mananas is packed with wild sports fans....

Today, we spent laying around while Sue cooked up a storm. Homemade chicken tortilla soup, brats, salad and some homemade sauerkraut, courtesy of Alan & Cheryl. Our family came over, hung out, ate food, drank wine, fell off couches (uh, that would be Scarlet), and laughed over great stories. Thanks to Alan, Cheryl, Quinny, Kara, Lorca & Gail for coming out!

We celebrated Scarlet's birthday early.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Here's Kara and I three years ago.

Here we are now!

Can't wait for them to come out!

Tomorrow, we will be off to Disneyland- hopefully we will be back sooner than later. So, in the words of Wireman, "Do the day and let the day do you!"
