DAY 8: Election Day

Today/tonight has been a tumultuous ride. I have friends voting for all different candidates and do you know what I see/hear?

I see people chastising each other for their votes.
I hear people calling each other horrible names.
I see people who want to be accepted not accepting others.
I hear hateful messages to one another.
I'm better than you.
Blah.
Blah.
Blah.

GUYS. This is the beauty of democracy. We have the right to vote for who we want. We have the right to feel the way that we want to feel. We also have the right to say what we want, but can't we be civil about it?

Just because I don't agree with you doesn't mean that I don't love you or care about you. No matter what happens with this election or who wins, I know that my life, through Christ, will not change. I will continue to take steps to become a fully devoted, fully delighted follower of Jesus Christ. The world will fight against me and that is to be expected.

Now, I will leave you with this.
