Me and the Merm.
The girls are cray.
We got to see Santa! The girls were really excited.
STORY TIME: Last year, for the women's retreat, we stayed at a resort called the Zermott (it looked a lot like this gingerbread house). EXCEPT....Ashley (my bffffff) referred to it as the Germann...so we had to send her a picture of the gingerbread version.
Who is this?? Wait...is this THE doctor from the poster?! HAHAHA!!! It's our friend, Deb! She's quite famous.
This is how Joc & I take selfies.
This was the craziest tree there. Now, you can bid on these trees...and whatever else comes with them. Insane, right? But tres cool.
Who is on the naughty list? I see a few names I recognize....
These gingerbread houses....insane.
Scarlet really liked this one.
MUUUUUUUSIC: We went to our friends' church to participate in their night of thanksgiving and worship. Who was it? Only the infamous Casey, aka Cass-Cass, storyteller elite.
Sweet little girls sitting in a row.
Casey doing an amazing job!
His team did a great job! It was my first time at their church and it was awesome.
As for MEEEEEEE.....well....the sermon yesterday was on the future and why we need to not worry about the uncontrollable. It was a great lesson for me since I do worry about what is going to happen in certain situations.
A while ago, I was going through a pretty rough time of uncertainty. I was worried about so many different outcomes. But as I started to worry....I realized that God was in control NO MATTER WHAT. It didn't matter how much I cried, yelled, paced...I still couldn't control the uncontrollable, aka the future.
Tonight, at small group, a friend said this: You can only control three things: your effort, your attitude and your relationship with Christ. I agreed wholeheartedly. Everything else in life is outside of my control and I need to be okay with it.
I choose to trust that God is in control.
And that's a fact, Jack.
