30-20: Ladies Gotta Be

Ladies gotta be ladies, aight?

Tonight, we floofed; we blowdried hair after a shower, we pinned said hair back and we donned skin masks whilst reading Harry Potter on my bed.

The girls were beside themselves. Of course, they were mostly excited that they were going to get to peel their masks off, but whatevs.

Of course, reading Harry Potter became increasingly difficult as my mask tightened up. I don't know about you, but I have a big mouth and I use ALLLL of it when I speak, so poor Hagrid and Colin Creevey didn't get the justice they deserved as I tried not to laugh at Ron spraying slugs all over Hagrid's hut (if that didn't give you a clue, we're on The Chamber of Secrets).

It also reminded me of a time that, when I was younger, my mom had one of these masks on. She saw a man at our living room window, yelled, "A man! A man's at the window!" I, of course, needing to be a part of the action, yelled as well. And since the mask was tightening on my mom's face, she tried to talk, couldn't and mumbled something about a mask. I thought she meant the man at the window had a mask, so I start yelling, "He's got a mask!" Pandemonium ensued and the man took his leave.

We laugh every. single. time.

I promised the girls that we would try to do this once a week. I know their baby skin doesn't need clarifying or anything, but they are pretty fun to peel off. I have a peelable mud mask to try next week. The girls are going to dig it.

Hey, we gotta do lady stuff when we can! I'm thinking pedicures are next...but maybe after school starts and I need the stress relief!
