Officially Over 1,000 Miles

This latest trip has officially put me over 1,000 miles traveled in my own vehicle for the duration of ALMOST 2 months.

Yep. I'm currently sitting at approximately 1300 miles.

You know, to be honest (and you know I always am), I've been pretty bummed about my best friend moving away. I haven't blogged about it because, well, I just can't yet.

Anyways, I thought that if I planned a busy summer, I wouldn't have to think about it too much. And, if I planned it correctly, I would be pretty busy up until school started. So far, it has worked.

Where am I now? I'm up near SLC with my friend Melissa. See, her husband is on a "missions trip" and we thought it would be fun to have us come up for a few days. And so we did!

We got in late last night, lounged around this morning while all the big kids dressed up as Frozen characters and acted them out. I wish I had taken pictures because not only did they look amazing, Scarlet & Evan were dressed as villagers; Evan made a cute little girl in his outfit! Oh to be surrounded by girls!!

Melissa braved the bunch by letting them make cupcakes. I have no idea what was going on in this picture, but apparently something tasted bad, looked bad or.....smelled bad.

I love how Piper isn't even noticing. She's intent on getting the recipe right.

After naptime, we headed out to the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium. I was super excited and so were my girls.

Here we go!

Cuttlefish- so cool.

Samantha imitating the moray eel we were looking at.

Checking out the sea turtle in the shark tank.

This big guy even had his own backpack....weird.

We wondered why Peter was so quiet....he was pretending to be a goat.

The big kids being big.

Isopods- possibly the grossest things I've ever seen.

Checking out the penguins- Piper was convinced one of them was about to lay an egg.

Getting ready to watch Robinson Crusoe in 4D!

This has to be my favorite picture ever- it's like they're two mothers arguing over things.
"Oh, you use pre-packaged, chemically enhanced baby food? I only use 100% organic homegrown sweet potatoes from fertilizer we make ourselves."

Piper loves the little ones!

The girls pretending to touch the anaconda.

Me and my crazy girls.

We headed back home, ordered pizza and hung out until bedtime.

Me & "Peet-ah" chilling before he decided to poop. By the way, I changed his diaper unassisted and it was probably my 8th time changing I boy diaper. I kept chanting "Don't pee on me. Don't pee on me."

Sam pretending to be a grandma. She even got the quaver down in her voice as she proclaimed that Granny needed a nap because she is so old. Oh Sam.....we're in for a world of trouble with her!

It's been a fun day. Tomorrow, we have more hanging out, shopping, swimming and I get to see some more old friends!!

And here's to adding more miles because we're making memories over here.
Yah....that sounds way cheesy, but it's a fact, Jack.
