The Store, A Train And Someone Turns 8

The last day is always the hardest day- I don't know about you, but there's always something about being on the last day of a trip. You are having fun, you don't want to have to leave, but a part of you is ready to get home.

That is how I felt today. By the time the girls were in bed, I felt glad that we were going home in the morning, to get back to routine, etc; but part of me was sad to be leaving my family. That's always the hardest part.

Today, we celebrated my niece's 8th birthday- a park with a train, toys, Red Robin and of course, cake.

Chelsea (in such family fashion) gave me my birthday present from LAST year....

It's a Little Women locket!! Little Women is my favorite book and I read it once a year (I always fancied myself to be like Jo).

Grammie rounding out the trip with a story.

Bed sweet bed for one more night.

Did I mention I hit up Hobby Lobby today? I didn't?? Well.....I DID.

So happy birthday, Mia!! I was happy to come out this weekend and as always, lots of laughter. The girls are in bed and I'm ready to wrap up my day. Home tomorrow!
