Goldfield....Where Superstitions Are Real

Did I mention that I love adventures? I LOVE adventures! Today, we ventured to Goldfield, which is an old ghost town. Goldfield has quite the history and the town is chock full of it. The train ride not only talked about Goldfield, but about the Superstition Mountains AND, my favorite, the story of Jacob Waltz or more commonly known as The Lost Dutchman. The bordello guide told us the history behind the bordello and common myths. The mine guide not only showed us how & why mines were built the way they were, but talked about the Mammoth mine, which was the major source of gold and why Goldfield came to be. I loved every second  of it.

Ready for the day!

Starting off with some sarsaparilla!

The beautiful Superstition Mountains.

Everyone watching Mia trying to take a splinter out of her finger. It was a very serious situation....

Brother & sister getting hung!

Some of the crazy tokens men used back in the day at the bordellos.

Court showing of her wares at the bordello.

The Dirty Underwear Gang, represent!

Epic gun battle. Brock did NOT enjoy it, but the girls loved every second. (Sam calls it the "shooting gun show".)

Caught us some cuties.

Uncle Bryan and his gaggle of great-nieces.

Waiting for the mine tour.

The highlight of the day goes to my Grandma, who is in her 80's.....she rode the zip line with my Uncle Bryan not once, but TWICE!!

Thar they go!

All smiles!

Then, we ended up at Court's again while Justin cooked us a really good Mexican meal and we played Exploding Kittens to which I was NOT victorious.

Mmmmm.....and the jalapeno that almost killed me.

All the lovely ladays!

Ready for some EK action!

Mom is way too happy that she won....and that Chelsea lost.

Exploded by my own sister. What the fro??

Courtney thinks she's SOOOO funny getting me to explode.

Mom was a little sad that she lost....and that Chelsea won.

Skyping with the 'Rizzle.

Tomorrow's our last day here and we'll be spending it celebrating someone's birthday...my niece, Mia! Oh...and Hobby Lobby....#jelly?
