Day Fourteen- Coffee & My Favorite Things

I love coffee. I love the smell of it, the taste of it (plus my added "crap", as B calls it), the heat of it.
I love Coke. I love the fizziness, the sound of a popped tab, the way it makes my throat tickle.

But I really love books. I love the feel of them, the smell the older ones have between the pages, the neatness of their lines.

I have loved reading for as long as I can remember. Summer time was my favorite time; I would wake up, book in hand and read all day long. I could go through three books a day. My poor mom- I would get new books and be done with them within a day or two.

By the time I was twelve, I had a college reading level; I gained a love for vocabulary words and Stephen King (maybe not the most appropriate reading material for a kid, but with my mom working full-time, I read what I wanted).

I loved reading anything and everything. I still love reading almost anything and everything; not a huge fan of nonfiction, depending on the subject (nature stuff is always a yes). I read and reread almost every book I own, but I also have a variety of kid's/children's books for the girls to read now AND when they get older.

I hope and pray that at least one of my girls loves reading as much as I do. I want them to frequent my library shelves in search of something to quench their thirst (except my Stephen King books...maybe when they're older). I want to be able to spout one-liners and laugh with them like I do with my mom. I want books to remind them of memories....and some day, memories of me.
