I was recently asked, innocently, if I thought I was too old to do crazy things with my hair. I then replied, "Um, I'm only 32."
I think because I've been married for almost 10 years and have three children, people tend to think I'm "too old" to do things. Too old to wear jeans with holes in the knees. Too old to want more piercings. Too old to be the worship leader. Too old to stay up until 3 AM watching Grey's Anatomy (I'm hooked, peeps...I can't stop).
I'M NOT TOO OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Granted, my new glasses are similar to the old guy's in "Up", I am not too old to do anything.
In fact, tonight, I was in a concert for youth aged 12 to 18. I jumped, I shouted, I fist pumped...I had fun. Um, maybe my legs are a little sore now (yah, I'm out of shape...crap), but it was fun! I don't feel old at all. I'm NOT old.
SO...why all this drama about two stupid numbers? Because I ditched the purple and went back to what I loved the most (and was WAY easier to maintain)....(Nichole, you will finally be pleased):
You're only as young as you feel, right?
Today, I felt like I was a cool 32 and loved every minute of it.
So take that 12 year-old girls whispering and giggling and pointing at me today. I'm WAY cooler than your mom.
