One Down, Only Twelve More Years To Go

Just one measly year ago, this sweet little girl started Kindergarten.  How the heck that happened, I don't know. Wasn't she just a baby?

Crap.

And today, she began 1st grade. I actually remember being in 1st grade. My teacher's name was Mrs. Brown and I remember even what she looked like. Although Piper won't have those kind of memories, she might definitely remember this first day of school.

We woke up to our toilet spewing nasty stinky sewage water. Piper did not feel good and eventually threw up. Samantha broke our chiminea (I called it our chimneria for some reason). Scarlet peed inside the storage part of her bike...outside. And Piper threw up again...in my car. So gross. I'm glad today is over and done with and hoping tomorrow will be better.

But back to the "school" part of the day:

She did fantastic.

It was much easier this time around than last year. No tears (other than "My tummy hurts"). No fighting. She got through her lessons quickly and learned lightning is normally followed by thunder (perfect for our rainy day).

I think this year is going to be awesome. I can't wait until we move into our house so I can get our schoolroom all ready for her. Plus....I just can't wait until we move into our house....PERIOD.

Piper's facial expressions are so cute! I can see a lot of Bryce in her. You're a great mother Cassandra :)
