I don't like making resolutions; I think they are silly.
If you want to lose weight, start now.
If you want to be a better person, start now.
Not on Monday.
Not next week.
Not next year.
So, instead of thinking about the brand new year and what I need to start doing, I like to think of it as "It's A Brand New Day". When I wake up, a brand new day greets me. Do I choose to roll off my bed and feel grumpy? Do I choose to seize the day and make it my own? Do I choose to thank God for another day to add to my life?
I should always be striving to be better. I should always be striving to live healthier and happier. It shouldn't take a new year to do that.
Speaking of which, in order to be healthier, I need to actually get some rest instead of staying up until 2 AM like a bloody teenager. Shoot, I'm going to be 32 this year! I ain't no spring chicken!
So good night, good stock, good battle, good bye.
