One is the Lonliest Number

Scarlet is one.

I have mixed feelings. I am so happy that she made it alive?? Okay, maybe not that one. Let's see...she's so stinkin' cute, especially when she comes barreling down the hallway on her hands and knees with a big grin on her face, trying to get to me as fast as she can. I love that. I love HER. But this is it. The last first birthday. Sure, she's still a baby in some ways.

Aaahhh, why is it that I can't put into words the way that I'm feeling? Helpless, that she's growing up. Slightly doubtful, that Bryce and I made the right decisions. Elated, that she is a beautiful baby girl and a happy one, for that matter too. Sigh.

Ah, before I get all crazy emotional (and it doesn't help that...well, girl stuff I guess), let's just roll out the pictures of her Royal Scar-ness:

Welcoming Scarlet Josephine to the world.

Love.

Mommy & Daughter.

ONE YEAR LATER

So happy!

Rolling around.

Munchin on some grindage.

Zoolander!

Who me?

She is getting so big and the time is just flying by. But I have enjoyed my toothless wonder so much and I am excited to see what this next year will bring for her.

Fun Stuff:

She has 2 teeth.
She crawls like the wind.
She likes to empty out the silverware compartment in the dishwasher.
She loves spaghetti squash with lots of butter & garlic.
She bobs her head when she hears music.
She babbles all the time.
She likes to pull Piper's hair.
She tries to brush her hair.
She is going to have straight hair like Sam, but brown hair like Piper.
She says, "Ha. Ha." It cracks me up.
She loves her daddy oh so much.

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY, SCARLET JOSEPHINE!
