20 Year Tag

No one actually tagged me, but I saw this on a few different blogs I stalk and thought it looked fun.

20 years ago I was

1. 7 years old
2. Living in Mesa, AZ.
3. Extremely shy.
4. Taller than my sister (but not for much longer).
5. Most likely wearing neon colored clothing.
6. Playing with Barbies ALL THE TIME!

10 years ago I was

1. 17 years old
2. Living in Mesa, AZ
3. Going through some weird retro-hippie, need to be different than anyone else, spiky hair, teenager phase.
4. Writing as many poems/songs about death or something similar that I could.
5. Working at Dairy Queen and loving every minute of it!
6. Wearing blue Sketcher workman boots with EVERYTHING!

5 years ago I was

1. 22 years old
2. Living in San Diego, CA.
3. Working in my first office position as a receptionist (not to mention my first real full time job).
4. Dating, then just BARELY being married to my husband.
5. Singing the National Anthem for the San Diego Padres for the first time.
6. Staring at the ring(s) on my all-important finger, wondering how I got there.

3 years ago I was

1. 24 years old
2. Living in San Diego, CA.
3. Wanting to be a mommy.
4. Bouncing around different jobs.
5. Still singing the National Anthem for the San Diego Padres.
6. Buying my first SUV (although used, still a new car to me) before I even needed one.

So far this year I have

1. Somehow become pregnant once again (just kidding, it was planned).
2. Moved to St. George, UT.
3. Became an aunt to my sister's baby, Mia.
4. Vacationed in La Paz (and saw/shrieked at the world's largest cockroach in our cabana).
5. Officially entered my late 20's.
6. Reconfirmed the fact that I have married the best man in the world.

Yesterday I

1. Dropped Bryce off so he could take a shuttle to the Las Vegas airport.
2. Actually did the dishes.
3. Listened to Piper cry herself to sleep, wanting to cry as well.
4. Worked on my blog for 2 HOURS!
5. Decided that I am going to get my Utah driver's license this week or bust.
6. Missed my hubby more than ever.

Today I

1. Did the dishes again...three times!
2. Went grocery shopping (I know, exciting), but could not find Parmesan cheese in a shaker at all!
3. Did not take a nap for the first time that I can remember since I've lived in this house.
4. Ate two pudding cups (like that's a surprise, I'm pregnant).
5. Stood on the front porch and watched it rain, relishing the smell of rain on pavement (brings back memories).
6. Still missed my hubby more than ever.

Tomorrow I

1. Am going to K-Mart to get a toy organizer for the many toys that Piper owns yet doesn't play with.
2. Would like to find my scrapbooking supplies, all of them.
3. Am going to TRY to get up before Piper, so that I can take a shower by myself (and shave my legs without her drawing designs on them).
4. Will more than likely begin a new book, having finished my current one (The Secret Garden) today.
5. Will sing along with ABBA while Piper dances in the kitchen.
6. Will probably miss my hubby more than ever.

In the next year I

1. Will have two children and will probably be completely gray because of it.
2. Will be another year closer to 30.
3. Will probably dye, cut, whine over, repeat, my hair.
4. Would like to do more mini-trips with my growing family.
5. Would like to have my shower re-modeled and/or have a new car.
6. Would like to do some singing somewhere.
