Sweet Taste of 15 Minutes

Last night, for the sixth year in a row, I was blessed to sing the National Anthem for our San Diego Padres! It was so much fun! Bryce and Piper were able to accompany me down onto the field; I think Piper had a lot of fun, especially after one of the Rockies (who were at batting practice) gave Piper a ball.

Check it out:

Here we all are!

Sue, Cliff, Cheryl and Alan (not pictured) came to see me sing.

Piper and her practice ball.

Piper wearing my sweater 'cause it was super cold down on the field.

Here's a video of Piper playing with her new ball:

And here's the moment you've all been waiting for (it starts a little after I already started singing):

So it was a great game! No one scored anything until the 5th inning when we got 6 RBIs in a row! In fact, our pitcher, Randy Wolf, was so good that the Rockies didn't even get a hit until the 7th inning!

I just want to say thank you to Karen of the Padres, Tim and Terri Wourms and their publicist, Diana, for giving me the chance to do this 6 years in a row!
