Yikes. It was Mariah Carey week. I will be the first to admit that she has a phenomenal range and her vocals are very pretty. But as a mentor, I just don't see her as one. And why did they have to sing her songs? The judges always say: no Aretha, no Whitney, NO MARIAH; simply for the fact that she is hard to sing to.
Anyways, let's dig into the good stuff:
THE TOP 7
Syesha Mercado: Vanishing: Wow! I think she did a fantastic job! She's definitely got some pipes on her. But, because she's not as popular as some others, she will be my first pick for the Bottom 3.
David Cook: Always Be My Baby: This is one of my favorite MC songs, but I didn't agree with the judges. It was good, but it wasn't mind-blowing. Eh, whateva.
Brooke White: Hero: I felt bad for Brooke because she doesn't have the type of voice to be singing MC songs. It wasn't good. She's my second pick for the Bottom 3.
Kristy Lee Cook: Forever: I liked her rendition of it and I think she did a really good job. Her best one so far.
Carly Smithson: Without You: I think she did the best she could, but it wasn't good enough. She's my third pick for the Bottom 3.
David Archuleta: When You Believe: Wow! My favorite performance of the night.
Jason Castro: I Don't Want to Cry: Um, it was interesting. I liked it. Totally his style.
BOTTOM 3:
Syesha Mercado
Brooke White
Carly Smithson
Now let us bid a fond good-night to
The one week where I felt she deserved to stay, she got voted off. I actually felt a little bad for her. But seriously, it's time.
Brooke had better be extremely careful...now that it's down to the Final 6, we have less and less bad talent to choose from. Everyone needs to step it up.

I totally agree your picks... Brooke better sing big, not keep it in or she won't make it one more week!
