DAY 24: Some Days Are The Best Days

Today was a BEST day.

We don't normally have acoustic sets at church, but today was the exception. Acoustic guitars, cajon, cello, vocals...it was amazing. My team rocked it and I couldn't be any prouder of my guy Rick, who sang his heart out today; he was absolutely amazing.

I love having a team who puts all affordable effort into a Sunday morning, especially over a holiday weekend. I know that our congregation and guests appreciated it as much as I did. (I might have cried a little.)

Lunch at Denny's with Sue was great! We had a great waitress who remembers us, great food and great conversations. A little rain and cold weather can't keep us down.

I love being able to be silly with my Merm. He's my MerMer. Thank you, Sue & Cliff, for raising him right (and wrong, meaning allllll the farts).

Bryce & Cliff have been busy adding a wall, doorway and closet to our old house so that we can make it into a four bedroom. They did some amazing work last night! It looks completely different!

Every time I walk into that house, I'm flooded with memories. It's the very first home we owned, two of my babies were born during that time, friends passed away, life happened.

Nap time is the best time, talking to my mom, showers and laundry. The day ended well and I am happy to start another week here at the Daugherty Hizzle. School days, something going on every night, coffee with friends and a possible Friendsgiving.

Here's to a superb Monday!
