Some times I just stop and look at my girls. They astound me. They look at the world and get excited. They are happy. They are safe. They are healthy. They love finding the Big Dipper. Their imagination is endless. They find joy in dandelions. They believe in wishes. They still want to grow up and be princesses. They think slides are fantastic. They are LOVED.
Then I start thinking about my mom. This is how my mom felt. My mom looked at me and she was astounded. I was happy. I was safe. I was healthy. And I was LOVED.
There was a moment, when Piper was a newborn, when I looked at her and realized that my heart was overflowing with love for her. I never realized just how quickly you could fall so deeply in love. And my mom felt the same way!!! She saw me and her heart about exploded with the immensity of it all.
Love is such a big word. It can overtake you, it can sustain you in the darkest places, it can overwhelm you and make you do crazy things. It is fathomless; deeper than the ocean, wider than the sky.
This is the love that God, our Father, feels for us. His love knows no end. It knows no boundaries. His love is so deep and so wide, as far as the east is from the west. His love is amazing, unchanging, relentless. We are LOVED. You are LOVED. Know you are LOVED.
