Day Eight- Coffee...A View From The Ground Up
This morning, while drinking my coffee, I was reminded of how I see things and my girls see things. And I mean literally.
Scarlet was trying to show me something and I couldn't see it. She insisted it was right THERE. She was very insistent. As I started to get frustrated because I couldn't see it, I realized I was up too high. So, I got down on my knees and put my face right next to her face. She put her hand on my cheek and smiled. She wanted me to see this little bug that was crawling on the wall. How I missed it, I don't know, but I did.
I forget that the girls can't see what I see and vice versa. Today, I made sure I took the time to see more things from their point of view.
Here's what I noticed:
1. There are boogers on Piper's wall by her bed.
2. Scarlet hid some pee pee panties in her toy organizer.
3. Sam has a stash of empty beer bottles by her dresser.
Um.... I think I'll just stay up here tomorrow.
