Thirty Days- Day Seven- Blurred Lines

Sometimes the lines get blurred. Our vision becomes hazy and we can't clearly make out what is before us. Sometimes, it's just the ripples in the pond. Eventually they clear up and we can see again. But what if it is because we are blinding ourselves? We don't WANT to see what's in front of us. We intentionally squint our eyes so we can't make out anything. What do we gain by doing that?

Not everything is 100% black and white. Sometimes the colors blend a little and become a gray area. There really isn't a right and there really isn't a wrong. We all have gray areas: intentional and ones that we don't have control over.

I have decided that it is okay if my sight is blurry from time to time because I don't need to always know what is ahead of me. I'm not sure of the outcome or what the shadowy figure is, lurking half out of sight. How can I do that? Because I give it to God.

Oh great, there she goes with her "God-stuff" again.

Hey, in MY life, it is truth. Lately, I have been having an easier time giving things to God because...well, I actually don't know how. It's a new area for me, that's for sure. What did my friend Kevin say last night when I told my Christmas Concert team that I wasn't 100% worried about things? "Where is Cassandra and what have you done with her?"

But I'll tell you what I won't accept is the world's idea of blurred lines. We follow the Bible in this house and we follow what the Bible says. If it says that something is wrong, then it is wrong. There's no "Well....." of "I'm not really sure..." It's clear. Yes or no. Black or White. Easy. Done.

Now, let me leave you with this: Just because I believe in the Bible and we follow its teachings, does not mean that I am going to judge you for what you do differently than me. I may not always agree with you. I may not like what you are saying or love what you are doing. But that will never mean that I don't like you, love you or care about you.

So....you....

I like you.
I love you.
And I care about you.

Please do the same for me.

Amen!! The Bible is definitely black and white! It sure makes life easy. You don't have to worry about what you're going to do in this situation or that, because it's already laid out for you! :)
