Change.
We change all the time.
We change the way we eat, how often we exercise. We change our clothes, our hair styles. We change out decor and the way we communicate. Um, we change our hair color....a lot.
We see change as good and we can see change as bad. Most of the time, it's all in the way we are looking at it. Glass half full. Glass half empty.
I can't say that I like change. Change is hard. I like changing my hair color, my haircut....things I can control. I don't like friends moving away, family members dying....things I CAN'T control.
Really, is it about control? What we can and can't take charge of? What we will or won't take responsibility for?
So, if I can't control certain aspects of life that impact mine, what should I do? Do I go glass half full or glass half empty? Will I ever learn to accept change? All aspects of change? Probably not. I mean, who can? But I can try to deal with it. TRY is the key word here, folks.
This next year, a lot of changes are going to be made. And I...well, I am going to do the best I can and THAT is something I can control.
