There are so many things I want to write about.
For example, I want to write about why I feel that God has put us in our new house (well, we'll be there in 2 weeks, but you know what I mean).
I live in an LDS town. My new subdivision is 99% LDS. The LDS church is right across from us. The bishop lives across the street from us. After I said I was a Christian, I was told "We'll work on that." We're pariahs and we're not even moved in.
"We'll work on that."
We'll work on that?
Okay.
This perfectly imperfect house fell into our hands out of the blue. It's wonderful; it gives me butterflies. My heart jumps when I think about all the memories we'll make there. However...my neighbors wave and smile with their lips, but not their eyes. They whispered at the block party. They stare as they walk by. "We'll work on that."
I already know the missionaries have stopped by a few times without us being there. I bought a new doormat for that reason (the other one was ugly).
The day we move into that house, I am going to be welcoming. I mean, I already am, but I am going to show them that I am not intimidated. In fact, I'm going to work on them. I'm going to work on my neighborhood. I'm going to work on my subdivision.
I feel like God is putting us in that house to start a revolution. Yep, I said revolution. I'm going to turn my neighborhood upside down. They think they know it's coming, but they don't. (Sounds like warfare, right? That's because it is.)
This is where the title comes in. My friends and family who are LDS...I don't agree with you. I don't. But I love you all the same. I don't hate you. I don't mock you. I respect your opinions and your beliefs. But I don't agree with any of it. In the Bible, it calls us to serve and to spread the Word of God. I'm going to do that. It will ruffle feathers and some may turn their back on me, but I'll love them all the same. I can't hide behind my door anymore. I can't hide behind the music and my job title anymore.
I am Cassandra and I am a Christ Follower.
Come and get me.

Cassandra, we live on a small cudesac all but one is LDS. The one that is not is now coming to SMCC. at least once a year we put our house for sale.. sometimes it's sufficating. However, we do realize that if anything we ever needed they are here for us. When it snowed heavy last year, the Bishop secretly scraped all our snow off the walkway and driveway... I love they love us for who we are, they know we are Christ followers. I do go to there place of worship when the little ones are in primary program.. thats how I knew without a doubt, we re in the right place... well, enough of my rambling, you will be happy as they will realize you are strong in Christ... love ya off to work now. will miss your praising today..
Hi Cassandra,
I'm sorry that the new neighbors are pushy and judgmental. Although I haven't been to your worship service before, I did attend your amazing Christmas concert a few years back, and I truly felt your conviction and love for our Savior. I know God gave you special talents to help bring others to Christ. I am LDS, and we are also Christians. Please don't let the rudeness of some members ruin your opinion of the whole. If you ever want to talk about religion and discuss our similar and different beliefs, I would love to. Good luck with the new home! -Ashley
