Friday Night
Saturday Night
This is known as Tambourine Leg.
Definition of Tambourine Leg is as follows:
Bruising of the fleshy thigh due to the excessive banging of a tambourine. See "Tambourine Solo".
Now, I'm not overly fond of my white, pasty legs, but I could NOT believe the size of this bruise. It's easily the worst injury (if you want to call it that) that I've ever had.
The tambourine, in rhythm challenged hands, can be a scary and/or intimidating instrument. But once it is placed into a musician's hand...it becomes a weapon of mass destruction.....of blood vessels in their leg. Guess I'll have to take it easy at our next gig!
(By the by, this was from a Beatles concert that I participated in...we call ourselves Liverpool Springs...and we have a gig this weekend in Springdale!)

I have had tambourine leg before. But wanna know what's worse? TRUMPET MOUTH. Every weekend for 6 years of marching band on Friday nights playing all football game long and the half time show. Your lips would bruise and have the mouthpiece ring on them all weekend long. Sometimes you'd split your lips and they'd bleed.
I do know how PAINFUL music can be. LOL but Oh, how worth it the music is.
