I Can DIY Too!

Sadly, as of late, I have been insanely busy...well, more like I don't have time to sit and go through the millions of pictures I've been taking and put them on my blog. Sheesh!

But look what I did find time to do...

Ah yes, the endless DIY projects around my house... this sad, misshapen cardboard box had been storing Scarlet's "toys" (more like hand-me-downs from Piper and beyond). It was such an eyesore in her room (wait...now that it's clean, it became an eyesore).

ANYHOW!

Totally got off-topic. Behold, the box:

1. I cut off the flaps.

2. I used Liquid Stitch to glue the fabric onto the box.

3. I then glued the striped ribbon around the box and then on the front and back.

Now, it's the cutest little storage box you've ever seen...at my house, at least!

What I wish I would've thought of before I glued all of the fabric on: reinforcing the box with some good old-fashioned duct tape! Oh well...I still have another one to do for the living room! Hurray!

If you require duct tape services, might I offer my son Devlin as free labor? That kid will duct tape anything into submission - it's all he does some days!

It looks darling, and I bet the fabric keeps it together for quite awhile.
