We Are Free...to Blow Things Up!

We, here in St. George, celebrated our 4th of July on the 3rd. I took the girls down to Vernon Worthen Park to check out the booths and activities they had going on (which weren't all that great for little ones with a pregnant mama...you try pushing a double stroller through really thick grass at 6 months pregnant, sweating in the 100 degree weather, wishing you were naked).

With that image in mind, let me reward you with some absolutely adorable pictures of my little ones.

Piper and Samantha, zoning in the heat.

Piper, super excited to be riding on the "train" like a big girl, with this naughty boy behind her NOT sitting down at all.

I think Sam looks cute just doing anything...like eating chips!

Go, Piper, go!

Gotta keep that white face out of the sun.

Yes, a very rare treat for the Daugherty girls, but it was hot and they were 25 cents each. Can't beat that!

Samantha's was seriously all juice.

Oh, how Piper loves laying around with her Daddy.

#1: Seriously, this is how Sam walks around our house. She says, "Baaa-weeee" and digs into her belly button...or mine, if she can actually find it. It's beginning to blend in with the rest of my belly. #2: Piper and Samantha are so obsessed with Ella. Piper just loves her and Sam just stands over here and say "Baaaaaby" in the highest voice possible.

Ella, Phil & Melissa's daughter, is absolutely adorable. And she's always dressed so cute!

All four friends, at our house, (Piper, Samantha, Bella and Luc) watching Tinkerbell before the fireworks.

Later that night, everyone (except for me, sleeping Samantha and sleeping Ella) headed out to see the fireworks from the airport. (Pictures courtesy of my dear friend, Melissa.)

Piper holding hands with her friend, Luc. Too cute!

Glow sticks are the best.

Yes! Explosions!

Daddies are the best mode of transportation!

Then we set off our own! (I love Utah.)

Melissa and Piper.

FLASHBOMBS! Bryce set off 5 at once. It was like looking at the sun.

Ooh! Aah!

We set more off the next night when Jakey came over. These were the first fireworks Samantha has seen.

Boom!

Samantha LOVED setting off fireworks. It was so cute to watch her.

Me and the Sam-a-lam.

Me and the Pip.

The Master Blaster!

Proof that Samantha is actually sitting on Uncle Jakey's lap. She's usually shy of him, but she actually wanted him to pick her up. Way to go Uncle Jakey!

Over all, a great holiday weekend!

Happy Independence Day from the Daugherty 4 1/2!
