Definition of Derka Diesel

For those who may be confused (and I think that includes everyone but Bryce and I), I would like to give a quick explanation of the nickname behind baby #3:

DERKA DIESEL DAUGHERTY

First of all, we don't know if our baby is a boy or a girl. We won't find out until it is born as to what it really is. We want to call it something other than baby.

Second, the name Derka is from Team America: World Police. It's just something silly, no meaning behind it. We liked it because it IS silly.

And third, Diesel is a middle name that my brother-in-law, Eban, joked around with when they were expecting their youngest son. We thought that adding it on sounded like a wrestler's name and loved it.

So, it's just a silly nickname, but it definitely is something different, eh?

And, um, don't worry. We really wouldn't EVER name our kid Derka, although I kind of like the Diesel part.
