Fun, Fun, Fun in the California...Cold?

As we headed out to San Diego a week or so ago, we had thoughts of laying by the pool all day, every day...kiddos splashing around, me tanning up my belly.

But instead, we had cloudy skies and 50 degree weather.

What the heck?

We made the best of it though, hitting up our friend Javier's graduation party, hanging out with my dad and stepmom, good sushi with good friends and Sea World. At least the weather was a little warmer at SW and I still got a tan.

HANGING OUT WITH NANA AND GAMPY-

Giving out some love.

Dancing while Gampy plays the recorder.

Eating a dessert too delish! Think B is enjoying it?

Yay for Nana and Gampy!

SEA WORLD DAY ONE-
(a.k.a. The Day the Walrus Scared Samantha)

Welcome to Sea World!

Samantha likes to wander around and just looks so darn cute doing it too!

Bryce had to take Piper on the little rides since I'm preggo.

Trying to find the sleeping polar bear.

An attempt at a family self-portrait at Pets Rule.

Starfish!

Muggin' for the camera!

SEA WORLD DAY 2-

Cuties, if I might say so.

Checking out the polar bear, again.

Sam, checking out the polar bear from afar.

Shamu! Shamu!

Piper was very happy with her popcorn.

MUG!

Run away! (The dolphins splashed her.)

Not terribly impressed with the sea lions.

SEA WORLD DAY 3-
(a.k.a. The Day Samantha Fell Out of the Stroller)

Swinging with the sharks.

Yah, we're done.

Two quick stories:

ONE- The first day we were at Sea World, we went to Wild Arctic to check out the polar bear. Sam and Pip went into the room with the walrus and there he was, right up against the glass. So both of them ran over there, pressed their wee faces against the glass...and he smooshes his face right in front of them and blew out half of a fish. Piper said, "Whoa." Sam backed up and started freaking out. It was sooo funny.

TWO- Um, bad mom award? Did not strap the girls into their stroller on day three at Sea World. Sam throws a fit, stands up and BOOM! Right on her head. Major sad face. She was okay, but it scared the heck out of me.
