A Conglomeration of Things

BABY UPDATE- 16 WEEKS

I finally got to hear the baby's heartbeat today! Last time, if you'll recall, Dr. Ott just did an ultrasound. This time we heard and I was very happy. My next appointment is August 26th. That will be THE appointment where they will do THE ultrasound...but we don't want to know the gender. So it doesn't matter either way to us except that we will get to see our beautiful baby boy/girl!

Here I am with my jiggly, but pregnant, belly!

HANGING OUT

A few nights ago, Piper and I had dinner with the only family we have in town: April (my sister-in-law), her son Joshua and April's practically niece, Megan (who was visiting from San Diego). Jacob is out of town every week for work, so he wasn't there.

Their newest addition, 9 week-old Pug, Bella! She is so adorable!
I just wanted to carry her all over the house!

Yes, I'm kissing her because she's so darn cute!

Joshua had been asking for Piper for a while, so it was fun to see them play with each other.

Piper liked Bella at first, but then Bella started to annoy her.

Joshua is turning 2 at the end of the month.

I'M CRAFTY
First of all, my definition of "crafty" is if I do anything ordinary a little differently...hence the following:

My grocery list
.

My "Meals of the Week" list .

My dishtowels for the kitchen.

Organizing Piper's toys into this new, handy organizer.

Organizing her little reading area.

Painting the Pip's toenails (a task in itself...ever had to pin down a toddler so her toenails would dry and not get on the carpet).

Painting my toenails all by myself (won't be able to do that for much longer). Plus, don't my feet look nice and skinny right now? I'm relishing it because if my last trimester is anything like it was with Piper, I'll have blocks of wood for feet.

I'm also working on two knitting projects, but can't show them in the process...you'll see why later.

AND OF COURSE, WHAT POST WOULDN'T BE COMPLETE WITHOUT
PIPER

Piper looking cute as usual.

Piper and her big bear.

Dragging the bear and her pig around the house...she does this all the time.

She loves her piggie. Maybe I won't lose this one at Applebee's, eh?

Piper and my un-photogenic self (I'm coming out of frumpy mode bit by bit.)

She is also in the habit of carrying around her two babies (pronounced beh-bees) and Eeyore (pronounced Ee-yor-ee or Ee-yor-ee-yah or Ee-yo-ee-yo-ee-yo depending on how tired she is). It cracks me up when I see her trying to pick all three of them up at once and then run around the house with them. She's also taken to trying to dress her babies and put diapers on them. Not very successful...heck, she can't even dress herself yet!

Trying to pick them up at the same time.

Eeyore left high and dry.
