THE FINAL 8- April 8th
Inspirational Songs...um, some were inspirational, some weren't.
Michael Johns: AEROSMITH- "Dream On": I thought it was more shouting than singing. He's one pick for the Bottom 3.
Syesha Mercado: FANTASIA- "I Believe": I remember when Fantasia sang this and it gave me goosebumps. I thought Syesha did a really good imitation.
Jason Castro: ISRAEL KAMAKAWIWO'OLE- "Somewhere Over the Rainbow": I loved it! Right up his alley.
David Archuleta: ROBBIE WILLIAMS- "Angels": He did an awesome job; I loved his runs at the end.
David Cook: OUR LADY PEACE- "Innocent": I didn't like it at all, but he's so safe.
Carly Smithson: QUEEN- "Show Must Go On": It was not that great of a performance nor the best song choice. She's my second pick for the Bottom 3.
Kristy Lee Cook: MARTINA MCBRIDE- "Anyway": I think she did good enough to stay next week.
Brooke White: CAROLE KING- "You've Got a Friend": I love her, I love her voice and I liked the song, but she's getting boring compared to the other contestants...she's my third pick for the Bottom 3.
BOTTOM 3:
Michael Johns
Carly Smithson
Brooke White
And who was voted off?

29 year-old Michael Johns
He was good, but not good enough. I wish that Kristy Lee Cook had gone before him, but what can you do when you don't vote, eh? Let's see what Mariah Carey does with the rest next week. Stay tuned...

Mariah Carey, huh? Randy Jackson is becoming all powerful I think.
I did like Michael Johns and thoughts Kristy and Syesha coulda gone before him. But it just goes to show you....you have to impress EVERY week to stay safe. Otherwise, you never know.....
