I, for the first time since my own, attended a bachelorette party Saturday night. It was for Bryce's cousin, Jessie. She's actually getting married on the 29th of this month, which is also Piper's 1st birthday. We'll all be able to celebrate together since we'll be down in Mexico for the wedding.
But anyhow, the bridal shower was first and it was very nice. Jessie (and Peter, her fiance, who was absent) received some very nice gifts and Jessie received some naughty ones! After the shower, the bride-to-be, her sister (Heather), best friend (Jen), 3 other friends (Cassia, Hannah and Mary) and myself (the cousin-in-law) went to Downtown San Diego and partied like rock stars. It was a long evening, but was a lot of fun! I hope Jessie had a great time!
Needless to say, I spent ALL of yesterday recovering from my night on the town. At this point of the blog, I would like to give a HUGE shout-out to my wonderful husband, who encouraged me to go out and have a good time with the girls and also watched Piper for me on Sunday while I lolled about the house, sleep-deprived and hung over.
No pictures for proof, thank goodness, but you can only imagine what a bunch of girls looked like with their glowing bracelets, wild headbands and be-stickered faces. It was great.
And by the way, I feel MUCH better today. Thanks for asking.
